Had insomnia last night. Jetlag hit me hard after two nights of sleeping fine. Didn’t sleep many hours, and then left the hotel super early to try and start working at 9 at photokina, since that’s when the hotel manager told me it would open. When I got there at 8:30, the people there informed me that the entry time was actually 10. Eh.

When I finally got in, I rushed to the private press area to try and get some work done (emails, posts, and such). When I arrived, I was surprised to find a power outlet that I didn’t know I had access to. I finally had a place outside the hotel (where internet has been down for two days) with both wi-fi and power.

After working until around 3 or 4, I headed out to take some final photos of photokina and the products I found interesting. Will be sharing more of them on the blog once I return home.

Spent the rest of the day interviewing Nick Ut, a very famous photographer that I just happened to randomly bump into in my hotel. He shot the photo “napalm girl”, and was very kind when I talked to him today.
