Went fishing with Dave L. at putah creek after work today. Since it wasn’t for too long (we both had about two hours), I didn’t get a day fishing license, and just learned from him instead. Was fun just chillaxing, eating a Subway sandwich, and talking about various things. He didn’t catch anything large today — only a few smaller fish.

One interesting thing was wading into the water wearing pants and my old tennis shoes. Felt quite… interesting. In all the times I’ve gone fishing growing up, we’ve always done the patient, slow kind of fishing — casting out the line and waiting for a long time to see if something bites. Dave, on the other hand, does a much faster paced kind in which he casts out, reels in, and repeats the process until something bites.

Went directly to the ARC afterward, and played bball from 6-8 something with KJ. The ARC was pretty empty — probably because students are busy studying for finals.
