Watching Avengers May 6, 2012

Helped serve communion and emceed this morning. Dave and vivian led a missions oriented discussion on “learning” and “praying” in sunday school — two of the many ways people can be involved. Rested a bit at home in the afternoon (watched knicks vs heat) and then went and watched “The Avengers” with some acacia people at 4:30.
It was super packed, and most of us sat in the third row. The view was pretty difficult at first, but soon our brains got used to it. The movie was pretty good for a comic book action movie, but in terms of movies it was way too predictable and waaaay too cheesy at some parts (for me at least).
Ate dinner with some of the group at village pizza afterward.
Then stopped off at home for a bit before picking up yao, chris, and ryan for our mens softball game at 10. We’re 1-2 and needed a win today to keep our playoff hopes alive. The team we played was ranked #9 in the league and only lose in a semi-close game to the team that crushed us in week 2. We ended up winning 16-12.
