Migrant Center Day May 5, 2012

Participated in iCare today: a community service project put on by a number of davis churches. Carpooled to a migrant camp south of davis with joe, jess, and anna. We spent the first part of the day playing on the playground with children there (and soccer too). We then went to the community building to help set up for a special lunch.

Our job was to serve the food. There was enough food prepared by Pole Line Baptist church to feed something like 400 people, but in the end we had a ton of food to give away and take home. Joe and jess took a big container full for an acacia potluck at halsey in the evening.

Spent the afternoon taking a nap and eating dinner with my family.

Went to halsey to hang out for a bit afterward.
