Woke up at around 9 and then got dropped off by dustin at the simi valley hotel that joe’s parents and jess stayed at last night. Rested for a bit, ate lunch at panda wok, and then bought some stuff we needed at the walmart next door (I got a new shirt and tie for the wedding since I realized I had forgotten a tie).

Rested some more at the hotel (most people took a nap but I couldn’t really fall asleep), and then started getting ready to go at around 3:30. We left a little after 4 and (after returning to pick up the presents we had forgotten), arrived at the wedding at 5 something. It started at 5:30, so we had some time to spare.

The wedding was at a church on (or near) the masters college. It was decorated very nicely with a Christmas theme. They had a super cool “guestbook” where you added leaves to a tree with thumbprints. Saw some old faces (e.g. alex and been).

The reception was held at a big tent in the parking lot near the sanctuary. It had a really neat ambience. It might have been the first evening wedding I’ve ever been to, and the first wedding where there was dancing.

The food was extremely good. It was barbeque, and the creamed corn was amazing.

Helped with cleanup afterward, spent a little time looking for glasses that joe lost, and got back to the hotel at around midnight. Joe, his dad, and I slept in one room while auntie dolly and jess slept in another. Billy went to stay with dit’s parents, since they’re giving him a ride to the airport tomorrow morning (he’s leaving for an interview in new york).
