Rhythm took a day trip to Natural Bridges State Park in Santa Cruz today. We met at church at 7:45, and arrived at the beach at around 11:30 after a single rest stop at a McDonalds to use the bathroom. Once we arrived, we ate the lunches we brought before staring to play.

After some random hanging out (mandy and some other girls waded through frigid waves over to the “natural bridge”, some other ygers ran back and forth in the waves, and some of the guys played around with daniel’s skimboard) we got together and had a castle building contest.

My group built a pretty expensive “kingdom”, which included a giant branch that we erected in the corner.

Joe’s group featured a huge volcano with josh as the magma monster, and john’s group resorted to idol worship.

At 3, we had a short hike over to tide pools. One the way back, we passed this pond with a huge swan.

When we got back to the beach, we sat and played a huge game of mafia. I was doctor, but ended up healing joseph, one of the mafia, during the same night they killed me. I was first to die, healing the person who killed me.

Left at 5 something, and one the way home we stopped at a carls jrs for dinner. Some of the youth ate burritos instead, and john and jack went to a wing stop on the other side of the plaza.

On the way there and back we had a 6/7 car caravan with a walkie talkie in each car. It was pretty fun driving as a group.

On the way home I stopped at CVS and picked up the film I dropped off last night. I was surprised to learn that they did this time free of charge because they had accidentally cut the film into strips after I had requested that it be left uncut.
