Had prestudy at joe’s place this morning at 10. Emman’s family is in canada, so we’re operating without him or joyce this week. After eating together and having joe run through his lesson on acts 15, joe and I engaged in a jenga tower building contest.

At first we were trying to build by alternating two vertical pieces and one horizontal piece, but then yingnan suggested using two pieces stuck together for the base levels and cutting out the horizontal pieces. That actually ended up working very well.

Joseph also came up with some clever techniques that clearly demonstrated that he uses his head.

Went home and spent most of the afternoon preparing for worship (rhythm is leading tomorrow morning as well).

Practice went pretty smoothly. Rob’s also going to be teaching a new song tomorrow morning (be lifted high by bethel live), so we only practiced four songs today.

I really liked joe’s lesson tonight. It was about salvation being by faith alone.

John announced to the small group tonight that he’s stepping down from rhythm in a couple months. It’ll be sad to see him go after serving with him for so long. Billy’s going to be “taking his spot”.

My dad’s old boss, Professor B., and his family came over for dinner tonight, but I wasn’t there to see them since I had to go to worship practice.
