Unlike my day at VBS yesterday, I didn’t have an assignment that took up all my time, so I had the freedom of roaming about and documenting whatever I saw fit. I still have to take individual portraits of the kids in front of the sanctuary backdrop sometime this week… Maybe I’ll do it tomorrow.

The day went pretty smoothly. Everyone is doing a great job. The kids are participating well in the opening and closing assemblies, doing the hand motions to the songs and laughing a lot at the skits.

For one of the stations (Vivian’s missions station), our Pastor’s son shared about their family’s missions trip recently to east asia. The kids are all strapped into their chairs with flag football flags that are make-believe airplane seat belts.

Jack is leading games in the sanctuary this week. His game for the older kids today was passing a stone behind backs while standing in a circle and having a couple people inside the circle try and guess who had the stone. The younger kids did crab crawl races.

Snacks today were coconut rice and pineapple — food that tied in with the country of the day.

Shot some hoops at chestnut park in the evening.
