Freelensing Pics June 7, 2011

It’s my brother’s birthday today, but he’s super busy in the midst of finals so we didn’t do anything yet besides have a nice dinner together. We’ll probably be celebrating later this week or over the weekend. Can’t believe he’s sixteen already. It seems like just yesterday he was half my size and missing teeth.

Watched a lot of the mavericks vs heat game tonight with my dad and bro. It was another super close game, but the mavs were able to pull out a win in the end (huzzah).

Shot a little more with my 70-200, then used my 50mm and 24mm backwards (aka freelensing) to try some super shallow DoF macro shots. It’s actually a pretty fun technique, though it takes some getting used to and some patience (it’s hard to get things in focus).
