Woke up in the morning and had a delicious belgian waffle breakfast (food is being coordinated by joe c.). Had devos after, then worship led by dave g. and lisa, and then the first message by our guest speaker: a guy named trevor who used to be rob’s leader. The topic of this year’s retreat is “Lordship”.

We then had another delicious meal: paninis.

After lunch a group went off for a hike even though it was raining. The rest of us went to the bunk house and played some taboo. When it finally cleared up, a small group of us went and did a short hike on the same trail. The was water streaming down the trail, and we all got pretty muddy shoes (and feet) by the end. I wore flip flops, so it was both convenient and kinda nasty for me.

For dinner we had spagetti, and afterwards we went back to the bunk house for a testimony and Q&A time led by Trevor.

We ended the evening two some games. First gideon led us in a pretty hilarious game involving acting out bible stories using only a single word or phrase given to us by Gideon. The second game was led by joseph, and was called “Fables are really true”. It involved lions, monkeys, strange people, pushups, and a whole lot of randomness.

Joe, rob, trevor and I stayed up talking pretty late into the night. We ended up going to sleep at around 3 in the morning.
