Parents At Rhythm February 19, 2011

There was no prestudy this morning, but Howe organized a worship leader training meeting in the morning. We went over a slideshow with practical tips, and then watched a video by Paul Baloche about thinking about flow in worship. It made me realize how inexperienced I am at this whole thing.

In the afternoon I did a little work and hung out a little with my brother, but spent most of the time preparing for sunday’s worship set.

Went to church at 4:30 to practice a couple hours with the team, and started a special youth group potluck at 6:30. It was a “meet the parents” night, where we fellowshiped with them over dinner and then did a presentation. Each of the staff members did a short introduction, and then we had time for the parents to offer suggestions or ask questions as well.

While me met with the parents some Acacia volunteers took care of the youth. Not sure what they did besides worship and games.

Celebrated yingnan’s birthday with an amazing cake by jenn afterward.
