Was nervous most of today whenever I thought about tonight’s IM championship football game. After spying on our opponent last night at their semifinal game, I didn’t think our chances were good. They all seemed quite athletic and tall, and they hadn’t been scored on prior to the semifinals.

In the afternoon I warmed up for a short while with my brother in the “big backyard”.

I also spent a lot of time praying that God would calm me down, help me to trust in him and not myself, be a good witness, and allow me to play to my maximum potential. I also randomly read Isaiah 43 a lot, haha.

Come game time, I think God did answer my prayer by allowing me to stay calm while leading the offense on our drives. We scored a touchdown on our first drive, but the other team did as well. However, our defense really started stepping up and getting stops, while our offense just kept rolling.

In the end, we won the game 25-18, kneeling to run out the last half minute of time. Caught my first pass (from courtney) during the game, but also threw my first pick of the season.

It’s pretty crazy that our team won IM football this season. We had a ton of fun.
