For acacia tonight we tried something a little different. We broke into four smaller groups and drove to the four edges of davis on “prayer drives”. It was originally supposed to be prayer walking (like some people in our fellowship did in Burma this summer), but it was raining too hard outside, so we stayed in our cars (my group did, at least).

Joe, clare, lisa and I rode joe’s car to north davis, looping around and returning on the side road to sutter hospital. It was a pretty interesting experiencing, trying to stay aware of things we see outside the car and praying out loud with our eyes open.

At the end of acacia, we helped fold up the last of the donated socks for grace in action. It started out productive, but soon degenerated into an impromptu sockball fight.
