The youth group staff met at church at 6:45 this morning, hopped into joe’s minivan, and drove to the CEM ranch that Zoya’s serving at. We spent the morning participating in their work day, with our assignment being the “beach” at the swimming pond they have. Yingnan and I dug, wheelbarrowed, and dumped dirt.

Our job was to fill in this area of the pong near the “beach”.

Jess, Zoya, and two other volunteers worked on the beach, weeding and scrubbing duck poo from this floating dock thing.

Joe and John worked at cleaning up the boats and storing them away for the winter.

We left at around noon, and stopped at Carls Jrs on the way home for lunch.

Spent a good part of the afternoon prepping for worship, and then went to church at 5pm to practice with the team.

In the evening john gave a lesson on the last book of John, and we celebrated October birthdays with a cake afterward.
