A ton of people are gone this weekend (apparently it’s known as a vacation weekend?), so the only staff in Davis were Ying-nan, jessica, and I. We still got together in the morning at church for staff meeting, where we had breakfast (thanks yingnan!) and prepared the Jeopardy questions for a game in the evening.

Went home at 1, and then returned to church at 4 to practice for worship and for tomorrow’s english service worship. Ying-nan and I are leading an English service worship for the first time tomorrow.

We picked 6 hymns in the morning, since we thought playing and singing them would be easier than more contemporary songs. However, we soon discovered that many of them were actually harder, with many of the youth not having heard them before.

In the end, we kept 2 of the hymns for worship tonight, and then added 4 more contemporary songs to practice tomorrow morning.

A ton of youth were also MIA tonight, so youth group was pretty dang tiny.

Snacks afterward were amazing.
