We woke up early in the morning, got everything together, and left for Qingdao in two cars. When we got there, one of the family drivers returned to Longko. My uncle met us at the side of the road once we got into town, and drove us to his house, and then a seafood restaurant.

My aunt’s family (the Beijing one) is also flying in for a family reunion on my mom’s side. We had the same reunion five years ago.

The seafood we had for lunch was okay.

My brother and I were planning to go swimming in the afternoon, but once we arrived there the people told us that we had to wear tight swim trunks, caps, and goggles. We decided to change plans, and the driver took us to an arcade instead.

When we got back, we played some tennis at the artificial grass court outside my uncle’s home, basketball at the court nearby, and then on the playground equipment in the same courtyard.

For dinner we had two different kinds of bao zi.

Afterward we went for a short stroll to the place where some of the water events were held during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
