At Acacia tonight we had a special going away party for james k. disguised as an ordinary potluck. It wasn’t just Acacia: a bunch of home church friends and family members also came. There was a fun slideshow, sharing, and then James shared some stuff with us as well. He’s going to long term missions (2 years) in Singapore.

When my dad was getting into the car to drive to work in the morning, we suddenly saw that it was filled with glass, and that the passenger side window was smashed. There didn’t seem to be anything missing from the car, and even the few dollars we store in the middle compartment-thingy were still there.

After the police arrived, we found out that the person responsible had already been aprehended. Turns out he had some sort of mental problem or something, and had smashed 30 or so other car windows last night.

It was pretty good news that the person was caught so quickly, since now we don’t have to wonder why someone would want to smash our car window.
