Met with my advisor regarding research at 1pm, and started packing for the acacia retreat afterwards. At 5, I started walking towards the downtown BART station with my semi-big bag of stuff to catch the 5:26 train. On the way I ran into a sophomore from gracepoint who was also headed home. We chatted and then split up at the station.

It was my first time going anywhere on BART by myself. I’ve gone a few places in the past couple years, but always for things like art museums with my photography class. The trip took about 30 minutes and cost $4. Went pretty smoothly.

When I got to Glen Park station, I almost immediately found Lynn H, who was also getting picked up by Lynn-K for the retreat. While waiting and talking, we went across the street to pick up some dinner, since we were supposed to eat prior to the retreat.

When we arrived at 7, we were the first car there besides the organizers. Other people slowly trickled in over the course of the evening.

After most people had arrived, we had a time of worship and then a bible study led by jess.
