Sather Gate Gone November 17, 2008

My software engineering midterm today at 1pm went a lot better than I expected. The exam was much easier than the practice exams they provided for us to study with. The semester is winding down very quickly. I’m going to be working non-stop on my various projects for the rest of the semester…
VIS 181 – I have a final solo photography project that requires at least 8 rolls of film and 8 prints.
CS 194 – I have a final group project that involves building an interesting web service for universities using Ruby on Rails. What exactly we’re doing I’ll save for a later date to reveal.
CS 169 – I have a final group project that involves building a social tracking service for the Google Android operating system that may one day be ubiquitous on mobile phones.
IEOR 190A – I have a final project that involves hammering out a business plan for the business aspect of what we’re building in 194. The classes aren’t related, but we’re combining the two projects, since my group members are in both classes as well. I feel like this is the project we’re most behind in right now.
Ate TC Garden special #2 for lunch in the public policy building while preparing for my entrepreneurship case study discussion.
We had a shepherd’s pie house dinner tonight. It was quite delicious, but I was so stuffed I couldn’t really move afterwards.
Spent the rest of the evening working.
Sather gate has been missing for a while now. They’re restoring it, and will put it back up sometime next semester.
Some “Peace Not Prejudice” people were “demonstrating” on Sproul plaza today with music and dance. There has been some Israeli-Palestinian violence on/near campus lately.
