In Class Chess January 7, 2005
There was a lot of presenting going on in various classes today. First, in economics, many groups including mine had to present on government programs and budget (i think). I found a wierd advertisement in a magazine I was reading that I thought was slightly humorous. I can’t explain why. I posted a pic though.
During lunch, we all drove over to jack in the box, and I got two jumbo jacks. On the way back, josephs lower lip got all white and powdery because of the bread he was eating. When we parked, there was still time, so we joked randomly about what ways we were manlier than each other. It became pretty farfetched, crazy, and laughable.
In the afternoon, in sports fiction, there were more presentations on how to play different sports. Today, two students went up and taught the class how to play “the sport of chess”. After teaching the basic rules, the teacher told them to demonstrate, so we spend a large portion of class just watching two people in the front play a game of chess. Then we watched some more of a movie and that was the end of that class.
After school, I drove to sac. I went to Borders, then In n Out, and then the CY fellowship. It was an icebreaker, a singspiration, so a lot of music, a message, but there wasn’t any time for an organized skit game.
The weekend has started. Our first youth group in a long time is this saturday. Finals is in another full week of school. This could potentially be my redemption or a disaster. There’s also a mexico meeting in sacramento this sunday. So much stuff going on.
