Presented the lesson at emman's place for prestudy this morning with the other youth group staff. We started the morning with some prayer time, had breakfast together, and then went over the lesson. In the afternoon I did some final preparations, and in the evening I gave my first solo lesson to the YG on trust/faith.
Waking up in the morning, I felt very unprepared for the lesson, but God definitely helped everything to come together by the time youth group rolled around. One of the points in the lesson was how most, if not all, of the people recorded in the Bible had a huge sense of inadequacy when God called them to do things. However, the important thing was that they didn't let their inadequacy hinder their obedience, but trusted that God would provide everything they needed and equip them for service.
That's definitely something I've experienced over the past few weeks while putting this lesson together. PTL.
There was a break in the rain in the afternoon, and I noticed a gigantic rainbow in the sky when I looked out my window. I immediately grabbed my widest angle lens and ran out to take some photographs of it. The 3 I posted are HDR, tonemapped photographs.
