Primer And Soccer

Read research papers for most of the day today, and studied at soda hall with joe in the evening. After studying for a while, we decided to watch the movie "Primer" on the big screen in the lounge. Twas the first time we've used the big screen so far this year. At 11pm, I biked over to maxwell for our last soccer game of the season.
Primer is an independent film that was made with just $7,000, and runs at a little over an hour long. It's a science fiction movie that has to do with time travel, and turned out to be one of my favorite science fiction movies ever. If you like movies like Memento, Frequency, or Donnie Darko, then you'd love Primer. However the caveat is that Primer is extremely nerdy and technical, without much explanation of anything that's going on, so there's no way you're going to understand the movie after watching it. To actually understand what's going on, you'll have to read about the plot and movie online (i.e. wikipedia). However, it's very, very intersting to watch, and definitely makes you think.
Halfway through my soccer game today, while we were down 0-1, the lights turn off. I think it's because the field hasn't adjusted to daylight savings time. Anyhow, the last 18 minutes of our game got postponed.
Oops.
Almost forgot to explain the photo...
It was taken in the 5th floor grad student lounge that joe and I like to study in. It's the room we watched primer in. There's leather sofas, bean bags, and all sorts of luxuries. I decided to combine them all together by sitting on two bean bags while on a leather couch.
It was one of the most comfortable study experiences ever. The color coordination between the bean bags and the cushion was completely coincidental.
Joseph on November 5, 2009 10:35 PMi had a primer-inspired dream that night, and i woke up at 4:50am, stared at the clock, and thought "wait.... let me get this straight... ... so i'm NOT in the future."
