At 10am, our photography class and the morning class gathered at our teacher's house for a breakfast of bagels. Once we had eaten, we headed over to the bart station, purchased 7 dollar tickets, and went over to San Francisco. We spent the day visiting many galleries and ended the day at the SF MOMA.
A lot of the art was a little too weird for my taste... For example, the current exhibition at Cameraworks in SF is two huge rooms dedicated to Second Life stuff... Yeah. Second life. The computer game.
In the back, behind the second life exhibition, there was a life action performance with actors and spectators putting on weird costumes, arranging weird props, and taking weird photographs. I posted one of the photographs I saw them taking today. Cameraworks seems to always have some sort of weird exhibition going on...
SF MOMA was pretty interesting, but very plain and generic when compared to some of the other galleries we visited today.
After the MOMA we left SF and BARTed back to Berkeley, arriving at about 5pm. I did some work until about 8:45, when my family stopped by on the way back to davis after visiting my grandparents in burlingame. They dropped off some clothing, some dinner, and chatted with me for a while before heading back to davis at a little after 9.
I spent the evening catching up on photoblog, polishing my application essays, and submitting the online portion of the Berkeley graduate school application.
