Eugene And Home

We left Portland early in the morning and started on our eight or nine hour drive back to davis. On the way we stopped in Eugene for lunch, and walked around for a bit on the University of Oregon campus. My dad and I alternated as driver on the way back, while the non-drivers played cards the whole time.
The card games were really, really fun, and we kept a huge record of points. The winner of the three person games received two points, second place received one point, and the loser didn't receive any. My mom and I had a showdown when we arrived back in davis, since the score between us was tied. She ended up winning for the day.
I drove for most of the trip, and my dad played for me, trying to give me a sufficient lead in points before we switched. Since that never happened (my score mostly stayed tied with my mom's), I drove for most of the way. Plus, I've gotten a little sick with a cold, and playing cards in the car sometimes gave me a headache, so that's another reason I drove a lot.
We got home at about 7pm. Praise God for a fun, relaxing, beautiful, and safe 9 day road trip to Canada and back.
In the last picture, you can see Mount Lassen, the volcano I climbed with my brother back in August 2007.
