Around Victoria

Went to church this morning with my family. I looked around online for a while before deciding on Central Baptist Church in Victoria. It turned out to be a really nice church with friendly members, a nice blend of contemporary and hymn songs for worship, and a strong message from 2 Samuel 6 about worship.
After service, we went to eat lunch at a pizza place we found called Second Slice Pizza. We waited a long time for our order before finding out that they had overlooked it. While waiting for the food I went out to the sidewalk and snapped some photographs of the street.
When we had finished eating, we went to the beach at Island View Regional Park, north of Victoria, and south of where we were staying. The beach wasn't the nicest beach, but was probably one of the most fun so far on this trip, because my brother and I ended up playing beach baseball. We stuck some logs into the ground to act as a catcher, umpire, and strike zone, found a stick that was shaped perfectly for a baseball bat, and used beach rocks as baseballs. The rule was 2 outs per inning, and hits into the pond counting as a run. The only downside to our pseudo-sport was that we had to stop play when people walked within striking distance.
In the evening, we went to sleep early (about 9pm) so we could wake up early and catch the early ferry to Washington.
