We left Seattle pretty early this morning and drove to Canada. On the way we stopped at a beach in North Seattle that we were thinking about visiting yesterday but didn't. The beach was a little cold, so we didn't spend too long there. Crossing the border took about half an hour of waiting, but was smooth.

The agent there didn't ask us much. He just glanced at our passports, asked where we were from, how long we were in the seattle area, and how long we were going to be staying in Canada.

Once we were across the border, we drove to a family friend's place in Surrey. We'll be staying there for two nights while we visit Vancouver. After unloading our stuff and having dinner, we played a little tennis and then went swimming.
