My family and I spent most of the day today at the Museum of Flight in Everett, Washington. The museum is packed with really interesting exhibits, and can definitely take an entire day of a Seattle vacation to visit in its entirety. From authentic multi-million dollar mars rovers to the first ever 747, they have it all.

Originally we were deciding between visiting this museum and visiting the Boeing plant to watch the assembling of the new 787. After reading really positive reviews about this museum and really negative reviews of the plant tour, we decided to visit this museum.

Different areas of the museum include history of aviation, space exploration, world war I, world war II, the original Boeing manufacturing facility, and an outdoor location with actual airplanes, some of which can be entered. We had a chance to step into an older Air Force One, and also the retired Concorde.

The outdoor place also had the first ever 747 and 737, serial number 1. It was the first time I was able to walk up to a 747 and view it from the outside up close. It's much more impressive from the outside, since it allows you to appreciate how massive the plane actually is. It's much bigger than it looks from a distance or from inside the plane.

The Concorde is a really impressive looking plane, and you can tell it's meant to fly fast just by looking at it. It's actually much bigger than it looks in photographs. The inside of the cabin is really, really cramped and narrow, but I guess that's the price that's paid for getting across the Atlantic in a few hours.

In the world war II section of the museum, one of the interesting things I saw was an actual Medal of Honor.

We left the museum mid-afternoon and returned to the house we're staying at in Bellevue. My brother and I played around with airsoft guns for a while before going across the street to the house of another family friend for a barbecue. We ate outside while enjoying a really nice view of a lake.

After dinner, my brother, the family friend's son Kevin, and I played some basketball in their backyard court before going back to Kevin's house. We played some more airsoft, hung out for a bit, took a group picture with our two families, and then went to bed.
