Greetings! Thank you for your prayer for last night's Gospel Festival for College. We had over 100 people besides our group attending. After another day of teaching classes, we quickly ate and setup for Gospel Fest in the Worship Hall. Thanks to streamers brought from US, the hall transferred to a festive place. We also moved the tables setup the benches into concert hall seating style so it is better for people to sit and enjoy. Later some students commented "wow, new style of seating". After a quick sound check for the praise band and going over the set once, we had the race of the lifetime skit team going over the skit with Chan-Si (Jesse) who is second year theology student. He is our Khmer narrator. I came to know him well, he is a dear brother. I am just challenged by his enthusiasm, humility, servanthood and love. I am amazed that we were able to pull it off. 7pm approached quickly and we were excited to see many non-Theology students came. The program included praise (led by praise band), special solo violin performance by Jacob Chi, Skit (race of the life time), testimony by Robert Kim and message. After the message we passed out the response sheet and gave the students few minutes to fill it out. It was good to see everyone taking time to write. We then played rounds of charade which lots of words were lost in translation and it actually made it more fun because of that. Still we had a winning team which we gave our water bottle as prize. The snack time afterwards was good for our team members to further share with them our personal story and hear from them what they got out from tonight's message. By the time we clean the place and sat down, everyone just seemed tired but encouraged by the openness and the response of the students. We don't have much time to rest as we have Joy Festival and visit to Orphanage which is the last two large event in our agenda. It is Wednesday morning here. Today's is Queen Sihanoukville's birthday so it is a national holiday. We scheduled the Joy Festival to start at 9am but 6am and some kids already showed up. We have 11 booths that we are setting such as photo booth for the family portrait as we heard it is a rare treat, shooting gallery, arm wrestle, ring toss, bowling...etc. We made flyer to invite both kids and parents so that they can come and see what kids are doing here. We hope that we can give the family a chance to play games together and attend the worship portion to listen the message. In the afternoon, we are visiting the biggest orphanage here in Sihanoukville which has over 100 orphans there with gifts and clothes donated by our members. Please pray that our team and run hard to the last day we are here. Thank you for your prayers as all our members are back to 100% health level. CAM1 Team
