Beach Reflections

We had our last chapel and class times today, so we took class pictures and said goodbye to our kids at the end. When Pauline was saying goodbye to her class, she started choking up, causing all the girls in her class to cry. When I went down to the school bus at the end, I saw her girls in the bus crying...
No one in my class cried, but it was a very sad farewell. All the kids seemed to never want to stop saying goodbye, and waved until they were whisked away in the buses or on motos.
After lunch and the last chapel time was over, our team got into a bus and headed for a nearby beach. We spent the afternoon on the beach, having fun and then doing some personal reflection time. We played around in the water, got people wet, took pictures, sat around in the sun, played British bulldog, played ultimate Frisbee, played volleyball, and played soccer.
On the way back to Life U, we stopped at a restaurant named "Nak Nak Soup" and had a big dinner of pho, fried rice, and noodles.
Back at Life U, we had a farewell event at 7:30 with some games, a slideshow, and ice cream floats. Our bus leaves here tomorrow at 5:30am, so after taking pictures and saying our goodbyes, we had to end the night early to clean up and pack all of our belongings.
Assembling a large group of kids together to take a picture is no easy task.
Here is an update that was sent to church members back home:
