We had breakfast this morning at 7:30 and then started preparing for our special programs for the various Sunday services here at the Life University Church. After the choir sang, we went up and performed our thirst skit. We then had a message about thirst by Tony, and then two special songs by the team.
There were two services at the same time in the morning, and I was with the Khmer service group. The message went really well with the thirst skit, and I think the team sounded really good on stage.
Since it’s Sunday, we don’t have food prepared for us here. For lunch members of our team made Thai curry.
At 1pm, our International team went down to the first floor to help with the International service while everyone else went to the Primary service. Some other team members also had some fellowship time (aka king kong shower) with the college students. At International service there was about 40 kids. We had music, a message with a skit, more music, and then arts and crafts.
Tim Choi and Robert have been sick for the past day and a half. Tim has an upset stomach and mosquito bites on his face (as of this afternoon), and Robert has heat rashes on his neck.
For dinner the whole team sans Tim and Robert went to eat dinner at a restaurant, since we didn’t have food at Life U. The restaurant turned out to be quite fancy. We had quite a few meat and seafood dishes.
Before bedtime we had some more practicing for the special events on Tuesday. I’ve switched from being the Father in the Race of a Lifetime skit to being the narrator. We’re also doing the skit in both English and Khmer by alternating between lines. After a meeting with the International team regarding tomorrow’s chapel time and schedule, we wrapped up the day.
