Woke up at 7:20 this morning to get ready, and got picked up by Eldwin at 7:50. He's a driver for the kids at Garfield Elementary, and I went along with him because I was assigned to take photographs of the pickup. After we got three kids loaded in the backseat, we drove to northloop where Springfest was.
Things seemed like they went very smoothly today, the first of three Impact saturdays. I spent the day as a photographer, documenting the different things that were going on.
One of the kids in our car, a kindergartener named Johnson, cried most of the way to northloop. I repeatedly told him that it would be a fun day, but he couldn't be cheered up.
In the middle of Springfest I saw him again, and this time he was smiling and excited, telling me that he saw fire (in the chemistry class).
Praise God for a smooth first day of Springfest!
