Remote Downtown

My brother had a chess tournament in santa clara today, so instead of staying home by myself for the day in davis, I decided to go back to berkeley a day early. We left davis at about 7 in the morning. In the evening, I went downtown for a couple hours taking photos with a tripod and my remote release cable.
I realized that the remote release cable is one of the best "investments" I've made in recent times. The thing was only 8 dollars on ebay (though a cheap foreign version by an unknown chinese company), and makes it possible for me to point the camera and take photographs without worrying about other people knowing they're being photographed, or having to look suspicious with my hand on the camera as people walk by.
Here's something that happened today:
After I left the apartment at night and had walked about five minutes, I passed some people giving out Full Throttles for free. It was late and they were probably getting desperate, and one of them handed me three full throttles. I shoved them into my pockets and continued walking downtown.
Slowly, I realized that there was no way I was going to walk around downtown with huge cans uncomfortably stuffed in my pockets. Since I didn't want to throw them away, and didn't want to walk back to the apartment, I decided to temporarily hide them somewhere along the way and pick them up on the way home. I started looking around for somewhere I could hide three cans without having them taken or cleaned up. As I walked past the bancroft alleyway that Toast is in, I noticed a fence with a gap at the bottom. Sneakily, and wearing my hood, I slid my three cans of Full Throttle under the fence. Satisfied with how I hid my treasure, I walked away from it quickly, like a happy chipmunk.
I realized how sad it would be if I forgot about the cans after going through so much effort to save them. Thus, I text messaged myself about it and then set an alarm on my phone to remind myself about them later. Yup.
When I returned later in the evening, they were still there. Mission completed.
