I slept in one of the dining rooms of sierra house last night, and was pretty cold in the morning before I moved near the warm air vent in the corner of the room. After waking up, we had time for devotions, breakfast, and then a bible study led by pastor ed and kelly. From there, we went out into the snow.

During the free time outside, most of us played a huge co-ed game of football. At first it was difficult getting used to the environment, but soon it became extremely fun, and we had a good time coming up with creative ways to use the co-ed rules to our advantage in scoring touchdowns. One of the things we did was create a wall of brothers, and hand off the football to one of the sisters. Once she had the ball, we advanced the wall as hard as we could, pushing the defense back and giving the sister protection against the defenders.

Others who didn't play football had snow fights and built things with snow.

When we got back inside, we ate cookies and played various games, and then had a make-your-own-sushi dinner. Before dinner, many of us spent a lot of time shoveling a mountain of snow off the patio, and by the time dinner rolled around, the patio was fit for dinner tables.

After dinner, we had another brief time of talking, and then watched the movie "Sophie Scholl – The Final Days". We ended the time with an hour of reading through the first three chapters of Daniel and reflecting on it in light of what we saw in the movie.

The day ended with a "bonfire" outside, with all the juniors gathered around a fire pit and "amphitheater" that some brothers helped make this afternoon. Someone brought out a guitar, and we spent a good amount of time singing worship songs, and then ate banana boats and corn.
