Today was the first day of classes in this new Spring 2008 semester. I woke up and did devotions with tommy, joseph, and sean at 8:30, then went to my first class (artificial intelligence) at 9:30. I had a break from 11-12:30, at which time I went to my databases class. Finally, I had photography for about two hours.

In the afternoon after I left campus (around 4:30), I went to Target with joseph and sean. They bought a couple things, and then got dinner at ranch 99. I didn't get anything because I had some dumplings that I brought from home in the fridge at the apartment, and since they've been in there for a good number of days now, I had to eat them before they went bad.

At 7pm, we went to prayer meeting, and then had a special "bible study" afterwards during which we watched scenes from "evan almighty" and listened to Pastor Ed's commentary on certain aspects of the film. Went home afterwards.

Sold a book I used last semester for the same price I bought it for. Met up with the guy at Ida Sproul in Unit 3 at around 9:30pm after prayer meeting for $40.00.

Today's a landmark day for this photoblog. I've never posted a photoblog entry in black and white before. I've actually never posted any photograph on this blog in black and white before (I think), so today is definitely something new. I won't be doing this daily, but maybe when black and white would fit an entry better I'll choose black and white.

Devotion time thought:

Acts 2

But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.
Acts 2:24

Though Peter is referring to Christ, this describes all of us as well. We are naturally dead in our sins, but God raises us from death and frees us from the agony of sin. It is impossible for sin to keep its hold on us for God is on our side. The ultimate agony of sin and death is eternal separation from God.
