Today was Gracepoint's Thanksgiving Retreat at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. We left Berkeley at about 8 and arrived at about 9. After breakfast and a devotion time, we had a message by Pastor Ed from 10:30 to 12:30. We then had lunch, testimonies until 5:30, and then communion.

I originally wasn't planning on going to this retreat, but Henry encouraged me to go, and eventually I decided to attend the retreat and go back to Davis with joe afterwards. It's my mom's birthday today, and we're probably going to celebrate it tomorrow.

The first half of the retreat was really meaningful, encouraging, insightful, convicting, and hilarious. I haven't laughed moderately hard for a long time, so laughing felt good. The message by Pastor Ed was on Malachi, and he spoke about not being stingy with what we have and giving God what he deserves.

The testimonies in the afternoon were just as good, but the mood was completely different.

I really connected with the messages today and yesterday, and enjoyed the worship times we had. Communion at the end was great too.

I'm really glad Henry convinced me to stay for the retreat.
