The bookstore made a mistake and made an incorrect order on the differential equations textbook for my 22B math course. Many students in my class, myself included, couldn't get out hands on a textbook before the course started. They don't expect the next shipment to come in until late this thursday or early friday.

When I went to the bookstore, I was very surprised to find a single 22B textbook lying there, just waiting to be claimed. On it was a small post-it note that said "22B". It was probably a return, but was most definitely a gift from God.

In the morning I went to E17 Circuits at 8am, and in the evening I went to macroeconomics (econ 1b) at 6pm.

After professor current lectured, a ta went up to the board and led discussion.

On the way to my econ class, I noticed a van with an interesting splatter of mud out of the corner of my eye. After walking a few more steps, I suddenly stopped, turned around, walked back, and snapped a picture.

Today I gathered up all of my old (and heavy) textbooks, put them into two bookstore bags, and hauled them to school to see how many the buy-back program would take.

I was surprised that they bought most of the books I took to school. The only ones they wouldn't buy were the small little books I read for comparative literature. All of my big and heavy textbooks were sold successfully... even the ones I bought online.

It was surprising, because I had a softcover version of one textbook that the bookstore sold the hardcover of, and for another textbook I had a version with a black and white cover (I have no idea why). They scanned the bar codes on both books, looked at them curiously, and gave me the money that showed up on the computer.

In the end, I sold a mountain of books back to the university for about 180 bucks. I then went into the textbook room, and bought the miracle textbook I mentioned earlier in this post. It cost 140-150 bucks. OUCH!
