Instruction for this quarter ends on wednesday. Thursday is dead day, and finals officially begin on friday. My first final is saturday, and then I have two on tuesday and my last one on wednesday. I got my second physics midterm grade back yesterday online, and the test itself back today. It went well...

I definitely did much better than I thought I did. I got a 78, but it was an average of 49 that saved me. So for my two midterms, I got about three standard deviations above the mean on the first one, and two standard deviations on the second one. I think I'm in a really comfortable position going into the final. Praise God.

I had a very busy morning at the ARC today. Here's what I did.

A couple days ago I boxed with Trevor and Jim. Today, the normal martial arts room was being used for a class led by Ms. Hercules, so we moved to the dance room. Jim gave me a coma, but I gave him two.

We each landed huge hits on the other person's left shoulder, and packaged along with the hits were massive headaches. Aside from those two blows, I landed a really solid one on jim's solar plexus.

Ping pong was fun. I did well against Todd in singles, but then when Jim and I played doubles against Todd and a classmate, they beat us many times in a row. It's pretty fun playing ping pong with them and pretending to be in the class. Their teacher knows me by my first name now, but I didn't know why.

After physics I went and visited my political science TA Carl Palmer to get some feedback on my 5 page rough draft on affirmative action. He told me he had nothing to say about it, and that it was basically a completed paper already. I was pretty surprised that the first attempt went so well. Praise God again.

I spent the afternoon getting some work done so I can start studying as hard as I can for final exams.

My pictures today have some of my physics buddies. In the outdoor ones are Rob and Gordon. In the pictures of my discussion at night is Dre.

We all sit in a square during lectures, and make predictions as to what percent of the class gets the quiz right. It's fun seeing the bar graph pop up after each quiz. It's not so fun when you realize you over-thought the question and answered a choice that only a couple people chose. Hah. That's happened to me a couple times.
