My brother's friend invited him to go skiing today, but my brother did not want to go alone. My mom asked me to go along with Isaac. I originally did not want to, because it was a Sunday, but I realized there probably won't be many opportunities for me to go skiing with Isaac. Our family doesn't really ski.

It was my brother's first time skiing. Actually, it was the first time my brother has actually touched snow. The only experience he had with snow before today was reading calvin and hobbes and seeing it in the distance from inside our car.

The two other kids that went on this trip decided to take the skiing class offered at sugar bowl. My brother decided not to take it and just jump right into the mountain with me. At first it was kinda hard, and he kept spinning out of control, but after a few times down the mountain, he stopped losing his skis.

I convinced him to take the experienced lift to the top of one of the mountains, where the only easy way down was a blue... At first he was reluctant, but finally he bravely agreed. Once we were at the top, we experienced the coldest and harshest weather conditions I've seen in my life. It felt like we were in a freezer of a freezer or something...

Also, the way down was extremely steep... nothing like the types of hills we did earlier in the day. At first we sat down and tried inching our way down the hill. Finally, I realized that it was exactly the same, and that there was nothing to be afraid of... My brother, on the other hand, decided to slowly slide down the mountain "braking" constantly. Luckily, we both made it down safely, and my brother didn't even lose a ski.

Skiing is really really fun. I want to try snowboarding, but I definitely love skiing.

Lily and Adrien went on the trip too. Lily's parents are friends with my brother's friend's parents.
