When we went to the state fair last year, my brother didn't get to go on any rides since we went with my group of friends and spent the whole time looking at exhibits and shows. This year, I took him separately on a friday, so we could get wristbands and go on all the rides we felt like. We got there at around 10:30.

Since it's a friday in the middle of the summer, the state fair was pretty empty. All the rides we went on had little to no line and wait time. In the beginning I went on anything my brother wanted to, which is basically everything. After a while, all the rapid spinning, crazy g-forces, and insane flips started getting to my head and stomach, so I passed on a few wild ones.

Since we had the infinite ride bracelet (you get them on fridays), we rode the bumper cars over and over. Since going to the state fair as a little kid, the bumper cars have always been my favorite attraction. It was really fun not having to wait a long time in line to ride it. The funny thing is, even with no one in line, we were required to leave the attraction, go all the way around to the line area, and then enter again. My brother and I started making up things to do with bumper cars, including lap races, and tag.

After we had explored the rides area thoroughly, we went to look at the shows and exhibits for a while. There was a stand giving out free peanuts, and we visited it repeatedly throughout the day hoping they wouldn't remember us.

There was a superhero exhibit, but nothing awesome like the star wars one at last years state fair.

When my brother got bored of the non life-threatening section of the state fair, we headed back to the rides section. There was a ski lift type of transportation thing that we rode three times. At the end of the lift, the seat doesn't wait for you (just like at a ski lift), so the workers there tell you to quickly go to the exit after getting off. After riding our third time, I hopped off the seat and sprinted like a madman to the exit. The workers there started laughing at me, and probably thought I had some sort of mental disability.

My brother and I also watched a hypnotist perform. I was talking to him about the grad night hypnotist we saw as we were walking to the show stage, and then we heard a voice over the microphone. We ran over, and sure enough it was a hypnotist at the state fair. Pretty interesting coincidence. It wasn't as interesting because we didn't know the people being hypnotized, but definitely attracted a very large crowd.

I'm going to the state fair again on september 2nd with my group of friends. We're probably not going to go on many or any rides, so I'm glad I got to experience the rides again with my brother today.
