We were planning on having some sort of impromptu hangout today, but for some strange reason many of the girls couldn't make it. It ended up becoming a guys night, and we spent many hours in josephs place playing 2 vs 2 vs 2 risk. Joseph and I had a pretty amazing match against the risk masters there.

For many hours, Joseph and I fortified our stronghold and capitals in Africa. With a quick sweep across north america, we invaded Todd and Brian's stronghold of South America from the north. This avoided a costly battle between our West African army and their Brazil. With this sweep, we completely wiped them off south america and then took it over. Things were looking good.

Nearing midnight, Jeremy started his plan of massive global domination, starting from his fortress in Australia. His partner Jim wasn't there to help because everyone teamed up on his army and wiped him out in a swift genocide.

In conclusion, we left between 1 and 2 in the morning after deciding that finishing the game would take forever. Right before coming to this conclusion, Jeremy almost wiped out our African stronghold with his Australian army.

Here is an example of the amazing luck Joseph and I experienced: Todd was attacking one of my armies, and rolled two sixes. Any sane human being would accept it as impossible odds to beat, and roll a single die to minimize losses, but instead I threw both my defense dice, coming up with a matching pair of sixes. Even though I didn't roll both on purpose (I forgot you could roll one), incurring no losses against two sixes is unbelievable. Todd was speechless for a while afterwards.
