Joseph and anna planned one of the epic birthday events in recent memory. Kudos to them. They spent a lot of time coming up with gifts and clues for a scavenger hunt to be held in slide hill park. The event was at 9pm tonight, and we even had a special way of kidnapping her from her dorm to the park.

Joe, wei, and I drove to her dorm and planned the routine on the way. When we got to her, we sang "you are my sunshine" with each person saying every third word. Then we talked in the same way saying something weird, like "Luthia, you. must. come. with. us. because. it. is. your. destiny."

Joseph blindfolded her, and we drove her to slide hill. On the way we acted pretty weird, talking in deep voices like aliens and referring to each other with russian names, like karkov, dimitri, and vladmir... We also said things like, "Estimated time to destination: 60 minutes", and "We're not at the freeway yet".

Once at the park, going around and having luthia solve the clues took quite a while. During the long walk, daniel and I discovered that the glow sticks we had made amazing sounds if thrown through the air. It would look like something from star wars. Finally, after all the clues at slide hill were exhausted, we moved on to luthias place.

Earlier in the day, Joseph and anna had spent time with her watching a movie. Near the end of the movie, joseph pretended to fall asleep, and luthia decided not to wake him up before she left. After she was gone, joseph "woke up" and let anna back into the house. They then set up a lot of stuff, and helped her wash her dishes.

After slide hill, there was two more clues in luthias place. One was something about the color blue. There were lots of balloons on her bed, and a clue was hidden inside one of the blue ones. That clue led her to the fridge, where a cake was waiting.

In the evening, anna, wei wei and I spent an hour or two outside wei wei's place in woodland talking. Talking is always fun.
