I went to the Pavilion at 4 to watch the UCD vs. Stanford basketball game. It took me a while to find parking, and then I jogged over to the student entrance. I made it inside in time for the introductions and tip off. Half the floor seats are reserved for UCD students wearing aggie blue, but I forgot my shirt at home.

Since I couldn't get directly on the sideline, I took pictures from the corner of the basketball court. When I left at halftime, davis was only trailing by four points. If they win, it'll be the year when both football and basketball beat the cardinal. That would be great.

I had to leave early and eat dinner before evening service.

"Just like football!"

I got home tonight to discover that UCDavis pulled out a 64-58 win over stanford basketball. That's huge... Two sport victories against stanford in a year. The UCD winning streak starts today.

Here's an interesting little thing I found while reading wikipedia:

One interesting thing about Chinese football is related to their neighbor, South Korea. China have played about 30 matches against them since 1950 but they have never won against South Korea at all, in spite of finishing higher in a number of tournaments. Chinese football journalists call it "Koreaphobia."
