There was some pretty strange people walking around campus today. After lunch I went to the ARC to play some basketball. There was only three people in the gym, and I started shooting around with one of them. He turned out to be a very cool guy that graduated four of five years ago, and taught me a lot.

The guy was two or three inches shorter than me, but back in college and high school he could dunk with two hands. I decided to become his padawan as quickly as anakin turned to palpatine. He told me of all the secrets to jumping high, and exactly what my training should be like. Of all my years of looking up at the hoop, it's never seemed TOO high, but the laws of the universe were never on my side. After talking to this guy, I had new hope.

Aside from my intense instruction in the gym, I also spent a lot of time on machines I hadn't used before. In the weight room, I finally ventured over to the cardio machines to see what it was like over there. The rowing machine looked like a good workout, so I tried using that for a while. When it asked for how far I wanted to row, I ignorantly set it to 10,000 meters. Turns out that 10,000 is kinda far. After I started sweating and hurting, I finished the first 1,000 meters and got off the thing. I'm going to start alternating upper body and lower body exercising. I love the ARC.

At night I took the job of bodyguard and accompanied my brother on a trick-or-treat expedition.
