Our Mothers Birthday

Our moms birthday was yesterday, but since a lot of things conflicted with the time, we waited until tonight to surprise her. I created a montage of family pictures and got a large print made at longs, and my brother used his computer and wrote out a letter. My dad went out and bought cake and balloons for her.
Eariler in the day, my brother and I planned to go to the big UC Davis versus Cal Poly football game. The doors opened at 12, so we arrived a bit earlier than that to buy tickets. After waiting in line, the man in the ticketbooth told us that the only ticket options left for my brother was to watch from the "standing only" section in front of the visitor bleachers. My free ticket would allow me to watch from basically anywhere, but my brother was restricted. The only way for us to be together would be to both BUY standing only tickets, and stand with the cal poly fans under direct sunlight.
We stepped out of line to think about it a little, but a few minutes later they suddenly stapled papers on the walls saying "SOLD OUT" and shut everything down. Instead of having ANY options, we were left with none. We went home. Oh well. Doesn't really matter.
Hours later, we learned that Davis beat Cal Poly. Hopefully the Aggies will now move into the top 25 for DI-AA.
We had a special dinner today, and afterwards we gave our mom the special handmade gifts we crafted.
Happy Birthday Mom! We love you.
