The group met at luthias place at 6:30, and piled into my car. We drove to borders and spent a long time looking around in the store. One of our missions was to find something for Andrea's going away to UCLA. We eventually didn't find anything in borders, so we left and started walking around downtown.

Downtown was pretty aimless, and we didn't really have any place in mind to go. We follow-the-leadered all the way to Newsbeat, and look at the cards (and cigars) in there. After leaving, we walked a circle around the block looking for the candy shop... Maybe it went out of business?

We sat around and rested near the clock fountain outside of Baskin-Robbins, and then decided to get ice cream at RiteAid. We drove there, got some ice cream, and then looking around again for something to give Andrea. Finally we settled on a birthday card that said "Cool!" or something, and then scribbled out the wording we didn't need.

Another thing we decided to give Andrea was a "fake gift" from each person. We looked around on the ground outside the store for random things to give her, just to see her reaction. I picked a weird plant bulb thing, jim got some leaves, luthia found bark(?), and rachel chose little blossoms.

We got to Andreas place a while after 9. I smashed the car door into my back as I was slamming it shut. That crippled me for a bit… Everyone hid as we rang the doorbell multiple times. Finally a head peeked out the front window and started at me standing there with a camera pointed at the door. It was her dad. Jim stepped out from behind the corner, and he stared at him for a bit. Then luthia looked around the corner, and explained to him that we were there for Andrea. He told us she wasn't home yet.

While waiting for her, we hid from the mosquitoes by sitting inside the car. When we saw her car coming, we all ducked, and then popped up when she tapped on the car window. Her expression when we gave her the wonderful "herbs" was pretty funny. I told her my bulb was called "Herboso" from India, and that she could grind it up and drink it. Her eventually got her real gift, and we took a group picture before going away.

We dropped Luthia off at Baskin-Robbins, and went in for a while also. Fun evening. Summer is still 7 days full! Optimism. Congrats to Rachel on the new cell.
