Early today, we all decided to take a trip to sacramento and walk around in the state fair. We departed after lunch, but waited around at josephs house for everyone to arrive. Finally we left with 4 people in each of the two cars, and parked in arden mall. It took us a short while to get to the entrance gate.

After walking in, we visited some exhibits and art galleries. There was also huge rooms full of real life infomercials. We got a lot of random free useless junk and some really good food samples. There was also exhibits on surfing, and wildlife, which is where we took a lot of random pictures with boards with head holes.

We looked at a map, and saw that there was a special star wars exhibit, so we walked in it's direction and eventually found it in the corner of a building. There was a ton of people dressed up like star wars characters, including a face painted darth maul. We had a lot of random pictures taken with the characters there. On the inside, there was star wars stuff everywhere, and also a little theater room that was showing "return of the jedi". On the way out, we ran into darth vader, and got to take pictures with him. He was a friendly guy, unlike the boba fett we met on the way in.

After leaving, we visited some shark display, watched sharks swim around in a tank, looked at a huge sand sculpture, and then finally walked over to the huge carousel. A few of our group got free ride tickets for filling out pontiac questions when we first entered the fair, so we divided those up, and rode the carousel. Instead of letting the 8 of us on in two consecutive carriages, we had to take rides at two different times.

When we got off, we started walking out of the rides and games part of the fair, but ben stopped, and spent 10 dollars throwing 6 darts at balloons. He ended up winning a huge picture/poster. He picked "winnie the pooh". It was around 7 something and we were all getting hungry, but we still had four free ride tickets. Joe, his bro, my bro, and I took a quick ride on the closest one we found, which was a thing that spins you around while you're lying down.

Finally we walked out and back towards the mall where our cars were. We were planning to eat at dos coyotes, but at the last minute we decided to go for the more expensive "fresh choice". We were kinda disappointed at how little selection we had, but it was all still pretty good. There was a lot of riddle asking during dinner.

At 9 something we headed for home in our two cars. My car arrived in front of josephs house on time, but after we waited for a while, he called and informed us that they were lost. Turns out, they accidentally went more than 20 miles in the wrong direction. I gave the people in my car rides home, and then got my brother home a little after 10.

Good times. Thank you God for travelling mercies, and good times with buddies that are travelling off into different places for college in a week.
