An SBC dude rolled up in his van around noon to take a look at our deceased internet connection and phone line. He never rang the doorbell, but instead just look a look in a box down the street, and in a box in the sidewalk. He then came and asked us to try the phone, which worked. It was a faulty line.

In the afternoon my brother and I went outside exporing. I was looking for something interesting to talk pictures of, since summer gets kinda repetitive sometimes. We found a disgusting looking spider in the backyard, but by the time we transported it to the front yard using a little shovel, there sadly wasn't much of it left. I decided to look for the elusive black widow, since pictures of a poisonous spider would obviously be more exciting.

We finally found one but both us were too scared to handle it with a long stick. Finally I reached up, got it to hang onto the stick, and took it to the front yard. I spent the longest time taking tens of pictures. It was tricky, because black widows hate being on the ground. It always crawls quickly to where it can climb up sometime, even if it's only an inch off the ground. I had to wait for the few precious moments when it wasn't moving, or poke it enough to make it play dead.

The pictures turned out disgusting as expected. I hate spiders.
