We rose to great new heights of weirdness today. It was jims birthday, so in the afternoon, an idea popped into josephs mind about what we should do for jim. The group, minus a few, all met in front of his house to prepare our little event. Joseph had to bring a few materials, and it turned out pretty funny.

The whole plan was to make jim a "king". Wei wei made him a crown that said jimbo head, and our lawn chair with two wooden poles was used as a throne four of us guys would carry him on while lifted up on our shoulders. After doing just that, we presented him "the world on a silver platter". Joseph had the world taken off a family globe, and then put it on a plate that was wrapped with aluminum foil. Jim was pretty happy to receive the world, and started handing out various regions to us. I think I got some crazy little country.

Then, we suddenly shocked luthia with a surprise happy birthday. She worked with us to surprise jim, but we missed giving her the birthday cake we got for her a few days ago, so we saved it till today. As a present, she got a ridiculously ripped action figure. Joseph explained that all luthia wants is a "hot guy". It's an inside joke, but it was funny. The guy reminds me of myself.

The cakes were good, and todd and I played a little ping pong outside. We all left around 5:45 because their family had to go to evening service.

Happy birthday jim and luthia.

In the morning, our church had a special service for graduation sunday, which was run by the high school and college seniors. It was also a communion sunday, so everyone had a lot to do and prepare for. I played drums for worship, and then prayed for the bread during communion.

Joseph gave a testimony, and then all of the graduating seniors went on stage and sang a special number, which was a hymm. A few of us high school seniors stayed for mandarin service, where pastor mondy introduced us and prayed for us. We ended off with sunday school.
