Since joseph, alp, and I both won our matches yesterday, we went back to modesto today. Alp played Rich Andrews of Jesuit in the semifinals, and lost badly. It was the first time he lost to Rich out of five matches. Joseph and I won our semifinal match, and went on to play a Jesuit doubles team in the finals.

The match was against the number 3 and 4 singles players of Jesuit, who are both freshmen. We started out strong, and surged ahead two or three games, but then they slowly figured us out, and came back to win the first set 6-3. In the second set, they advanced quickly through the games, until it was 5-1. Joseph and I fought back from set point, and then won another game to make it 5-3. We just needed to break one more opponent service games, and it would be 5-4 with me serving, but the break just didn't work out, and we lost 3 and 3. All the players in the finals got medals though.

Two Jesuit brothers, the Andrews, played each other in the singles finals, so Jesuit won both the section singles and section doubles titles this year. Davis had a chance of doing the same, but we choked. We need to beat Jesuit in the much anticipated team finals next tuesday to redeem ourselves.

Dale told us if we won the tournament, he would buy us drinks at the coffee place we stopped at yesterday. We all lost, but he bought us drinks anyway.

At night I went to CY's special spring celebration or something. There was worship, an icebreaker, and a speaker. The speaker spoke about living not for yourself but for God. The icebreaker was some crazy game where the dark side and light sides had to try and bring people from othe other side over, by means of little team minigames.
