I had to wake up very early this morning for the League Singles tournament. The top two or three players from all the qualifying schools in the league attend and duke it out for the league singles title, and then go to the all sections singles tournament, which is even harder because all the league winners attend.

From our team, alp, max, and I played. Joseph stayed out because of AP testing. In total, there was 16 players in the tournament, and 4 seeded players. The coaches got together in a meeting and decided the draw, and the order in which the top 4 would be seeded. Dale and the Vacaville coach tried to get me seeded 3rd, but they put three number ones in the top seeds, and to our dismay I was 4th seed. The downside to this was that I would have to play Alp in the semifinals, so only one of us could advance (Top two of tournament go to section singles).

I got to semifinals losing only one game, and lost to Alp 1-6, 3-6. Thats fine, because tomorrow I'm going to the same thing, except playing doubles with joseph. We'll probably go to the finals in doubles.

All three of us had crazy sock tans by the end of the day. On the way back to Davis, we saw a crazy sight on the freeway, and stopped at Jack in the Box.
